Our Work
HANDBOOK
The MAST Handbook is based on Ellis’ REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) self-help technique of countering irrational beliefs with healthier, more rational ones. It provides individuals and families with a framework to discuss compliance to medical regimes by understanding the belief systems that lead to it - moving from a place of distrust to hope, from demotivation to an informed perspective of how prognoses are shaped.
HOSPITAL INTERVENTION
1) Research - conducting surveys with medical professionals to understand why people struggle with medical compliance and their experiences of how patients can be best supported - to be compiled into a research paper
2) Posters in Hindi and English with information about medical compliance to be put up on hospital walls
3) 8-12 original designed pamphlets which discuss the medical realities of non-adherence
DIRECT INTERVENTION
Under MAST, workshops on medical adherence are conducted at NGOs in Delhi NCR with the elderly.
